Setting up OpenVPN with Gnome - Network Manager
We recommend that you use our in-house developed VPN client which has config integration and is extremely simple to use. You can find it here.
Before you start with our guide, please download an configuration file.
Installation
-
Install OpenVPN with Network Manager plugin as follows from terminal:
apt update && apt install network-manager-openvpn network-manager-openvpn-gnome openvpn
From the Gnome Menu - open All settings and click Network.
From the Network setting page, click + to add a VPN account by importing the configuration file you previously downloaded.
In the next dialog window is the last and most tricky part, input your username and password for your AzireVPN account and click add.
Now lets get you connected to AzireVPN. From the Gnome Menu Bar just turn ON the VPN gateway you want to connect to and thats all. Note: You would only see Connect option under VPN if you have only one Gateway added.
