From the Gnome Menu, open the Network Manager menu and select VPN Connections and choose Configure VPN.
From the Network Connections box, Click Add to select "Import saved VPN configuration...." from dropdown menu that appears next and click "Create..."
Select the .ovpn file for the VPN gateway you want to import.
Once imported, an edit Dialog box will appear, where all you have to do is input your username and password and click Save.
